One of my 2011 goals is to personally raise more than $1,000 in support of the Richmond Arthritis Walk. This money will be used by the Arthritis Foundation to help over 50 million people, including my wife, who suffer from arthritis.
In preparation of my fundraising activities, I sent out a message asking for some creative ideas. I received an unexpected response from a nonprofit/marketing friend in India. Dr.Mani suggested I find a way to make it a movement.
The Arthritis Walk is part of a national movement called Let's Move Together. If you are not a member, sign up at http://LetsMoveTogether.org to receive information on the benefits of movement and encouragement to move daily. This national movement will support my personal endeavors, but is not sufficient in itself.
Successful fundraising is based on relationships. You are reading this because we share one or more common interests. These interests might be volunteering, fundraising, arthritis or internet marketing.
Between now and April, you will be reading more on these topics. I am in a unique position to give you some terrific information in these areas that will benefit you.
Over the next several weeks, between now and the charity walk on April 30, I am going to share with you my knowledge and experience from being involved with the Arthritis Foundation and the Richmond Arthritis Walk. My desire is that you become immersed and engaged in the activity and information that you then use to make a difference…creating our own personal movement.
This mindmap is my start of brainstorming topics to discuss. Please let me know what topics you want me write about.
To raise money, I am going to try something that I have not done before. It will be my personal fundraising experiment. Stay tuned for the online raffle I have planned.
Thanks,
Roger Carr

Internet is the latest, safest, fastest way to donate to a cause. And there are many sites who are offering this facility. Donate to charity, Help a cause
