    Scott,
Thanks for sharing this wonderful story. It is great to read that this couple values each other above a large sum of money.

Now these people are some good ol fashion. In a sense not only did they not need that money but they just didn’t want it. Money was the last thing they needed. Pure of heart

That seems like a rare thing, doesn’t it Tracy? Pure.

Wow–good for them…valuing love over money! With our ever-increasing wage gap, you don’t see that kind of behavior too often. Fortunately, people like these two, and even billionaires like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are starting to give more away to good causes. Gates cites gratitude as his number one motivator…which seems to be the same motivation for this couple–a sincere appreciation for their happiness with one another.

Dr. Wayne Baker from the University of Michigan is doing an interesting series on giving this week in his blog Our Values–http://www.readthespirit.com/ourvalues/moral-obligation-to-give-are-there-other-motives.html

Gayle, thanks for your comment. Yeah, gratitude is a great motivator for a lot of everyday givers. Thanks also for the link. God bless!
